Our Mystery Reader program is one of our most popular library programs. We are excited to welcome you to our library to read to our students. We do have a few guidelines that we ask you to follow:
This is a very popular program, and we want to make sure everyone who wants to participate can do so. Please do not sign up multiple family members.
Choose a favorite book, or ask the library staff to help you choose a book. We have many wonderful books that are perfect for mystery readers.
Before planning your snack, please check with the homeroom teacher for food allergies of any kind and plan accordingly. Please make sure your snack is healthy and individually wrapped. Please do not bring any snack that contains nuts of any kind. While snacks are accepted, we encourage you to think “outside of the box” and bring a cute pencil, an eraser, or some kind of school related item, in lieu of a snack. We are a nut-free school. Please keep that in mind.
If you wish to dress up, we encourage you to do so.
Please plan on being in the library at least 10 minutes before your child’s class arrives so that we can “hide you” in the library office. This is a big surprise for the students. Please DON'T TELL!
Please remember that being our mystery reader is a big secret and the students love the surprise.
